House for sale in Tuscany: property near Versilia

This house for sale in Tuscany is on the hills outside Versilia, some 15 minutes drive from the sea, 45 minutes from Lucca and 30 from Pisa.

Recently constructed, the villa has a terraced garden on four levels, totalling 500 square metres, and with panoramic views of the Isola Gorgona and of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the distance. This is a single property, but is tidily divided into two completely independent units.

You reach the house via a series of automatic electric lights that run from the gate to the house, through the garden. A flight of terracotta steps rise up to the house, which has a double entrance (for the two units). A large store room by the entrance door leads into the 'day area' of the main unit, with a panoramic view onto the sea. All utilities are independent for the two units, so the villa can be maintained as two apartments or reunited as one.

The tiered garden has a large flat area at the top (house) level with further, smaller flat areas descending. These are planted with lemon and orange trees, bougainvillea and two olive trees. The building itself is in perfect condition and is well insulated, with cast-iron radiators that quickly heat the house. It also has a wood-burning fireplace in one unit, and the option to install the same in the other.
