This lovely Italian property for sale lies 12km from Gubbio and 7km ), not far from the village of Pietralunga (7 Km). The estate sits on top of a ridge, overlooking Gubbio and the green countryside, some 600 metres above sea level.

The house, featuring a very peculiar and irregular shape, was originally a medieval fortified watch-tower, modified and renovated several times during the past centuries; the current owners carried out a thorough anti-earthquake restoration in two steps, in 1991 and 1998; most of the original materials, including the old walls and timber beams, have been recovered.

The property covers 20 hectares of land in total, comprising arable land, woodland and a small vineyard; in the price shown only 8.000 sqm of land is included, but it is certainly possible to purchase the whole lot.

On the ground floor of the main house (150 square metres) are two independent apartments. This part of the house was renovated in 1998.

This extension of the house could be used as a restaurant, a gym, spa or reading room or to make additional bedrooms/apartments.
