A magnificent 17th century castle in Piedmont, sitting in its own extensive grounds and handy for Lake Maggiore |
This 17th century castle, with a total floor area of 1629 square metres, lies in 16,000 square metres of its own parkland.
It occupies a quiet position near the centre of Lesa, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Piedmont. The main building was restored in the nineties and again later, renovating the attics.
The basement has cellars with vaulted ceilings. The ground floor has several large state rooms with frescoes, floors in Venetian mosaic, and a large living room with a veranda. The first floor has four bedrooms with private bathrooms.
The attic is an independent flat consisting of a living room giving onto the terrace adjacent to the tower, a kitchen, a study room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The former stables (520 square metres) have to be completely restored. Adjacent to the property, a small three-storey house is to be restored. Covering 400 square metres it could be used to build other apartments.
